well, almost got the score right again, but thankfully the great Joe Cole gave us something to cheer on in a wet day and a very very long night for me, as after the game I went straight to the airport where I stayed awake till the morning, but more of that in the trip report in the "Athens Hammers in London" thread.
where I was wrong in the prediction of the game is that they didn't really went all guns blazing, especially in the first half. We were fuckin' awful at this period, though, so they didn't have to
they scored from a penalty Mark Noble did, as he was trying to cover again in defence. Mark is the real leader - not Nolan and he should get the armbrand back pronto...as if
second half we were a bit better, they got a bit agitated, especially at 2-1 but we were again toothles up front.
overall it was the timid approach favored more and more by the management in theaway days.
